Salon Policies

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy

All will agree, time is our most valuable asset. We ask that appointments be guaranteed against late cancellation or rescheduling with a major credit card. Your card is not billed unless your vacated appointment goes unfilled. We do our best to fill these openings–just like you, we’d much prefer to have another guest take your place than charge for a cancellation. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule a treatment; 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule groups or packages. This allows Body Glow New York enough time to fill appointments. Late cancellations will be charged 50% of treatments scheduled. “No-shows” will be charged 100% of treatments scheduled. As a company, we still need to pay or staff even if a client is a “no-show”. This policy allows us to retain great employees.

Forms of Payment

We accept cash or American Express, Visa, Mastercard or Discover credit cards for payment. Personal checks are not accepted.

Reservations Policy

Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes in advance of salon and spa treatments. Services will begin and end on time as a courtesy to the next guest. As a courtesy, we attempt to confirm all appointments. You are invited to telephone, as well, prior to your appointment to confirm exact times, services, and ask any questions you may have.

Tardiness Policy

We understand that sometimes being late is unavoidable. However, depending on circumstances, we may be forced to shorten or reschedule your service. Clients who arrive late will be charged in full for their scheduled session, but will receive an abbreviated, pro-rated session. For example, if you scheduled an hour session and arrive 15 minutes late, you will be charged for that hour session but will only receive 45 minutes of treatment for that session, including consultation and changing time.

Pregnancy or Medical Conditions

ALWAYS consult your doctor before a treatment as we are not doctors and can not give medical advice. Be sure to mention any medical information when you book an appointment. Certain treatments may not be advisable for you. Before your treatment begins, let your technician or aesthetician know of any medical concerns or if you’re wearing contact lenses before you have a facial or lashes applied.

Jewelry/Valuables

If possible, please leave your jewelry and valuables at home; we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. However, if you have such items, be mindful of not leaving them behind in treatment rooms.

Prices Policy

We are constantly expanding our services to bring you the latest and greatest. Although we make every effort to keep our website and menu updated, please note that prices and services are subject to change at any time.

Gratuity Policy

Prices do not include gratuities. 18% gratuity will be assessed for group/party packages.

Age Requirement Policy

Guests must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatments without the approval or accompaniment of an adult.

Children Policy

We ask that if you must bring children to Body Glow New York, it is the adult’s responsibility to monitor the child’s behavior. If the child is disrupting guests we reserve the right to ask that you leave and come back another time.

Refund Policy

All service sales and gift card sales are final. Retail items can only be refunded if unused, in its original packaging, and presented with a receipt within 14 days of purchase. In some situations, a restocking fee will be charged. Refunds will be issued in Store credit only. Store credit must be used the same day as the return. If any allergic reactions to product occurs, product must be returned immediately to receive a full credit, as most reactions occur within 24 to 48 hours. At Body Glow New York’s discretion, some non-receipted returns accompanied by a photo ID may qualify to receive a gift card for the lowest selling price. All returns are subject to system verification.

Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

We do believe that every client has the right to privacy and confidentiality. The conversations you have with your technician or aesthetician will remain confidential, as will your health history forms. Client lists and email lists are confidential. We do not share our client lists with outside companies.
